Director: Min. Bryon McDaniel The Helps Ministries at Christ Church consists of committed individuals who serve in various areas of the church. From ushering to intecessory prayer, these servants provide an essential ministry to the local body. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hospitality Ministry The ministry of hospitality is a direct reflection of God’s nature and character to the members of Christ Church and to our guests. Those in this ministry display caring love to all who visit our church. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ministry Leader: Dec. Barbara Whelan Sanctuary Splendor Ministry deals primarily with the décor of the church. This ministry is very vital, in that interior decoration is the first thing that visitors and members notice when they enter the building. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ushers Ministry The responsibilities of the ushers are to keep order in the church as well as to protect the presence of God. 1 Chronicles 15:23-24 states: “The priests did blow with the trumpets before the Ark of God; and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.” ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ministry Leader: Marcia Joseph The Greeters Ministry plays an important role in making people feel welcomed at Christ Church. Psalm 100:4 states: “Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intercessory Prayer E.M. Bounds said, “God shapes the world by prayer, the more prayer there is in the world the better the world will be.” God chose, from the time of creation, to work on the earth through humans, not independently from them, thus establishing a relationship through prayer. The New Testament gatherings gave priority to prayer and were highly participatory (Luke 1:10; Acts 1:14; 2:41).
